Bernard Markham : ウィキペディア英語版 | Bernard Markham Bernard Markham was an Anglican bishop in the 20th century. Born on 26 February 1907 and educated at Bingley Grammar School 〔Who was Who 1987-1990: London, A & C Black, 1991 ISBN 0-7136-3457-X〕 and Leeds University, he was ordained in 1931.〔Crockford's Clerical Directory 1940-41,, Oxford, OUP, 1941〕 After curacies at Lidget Green and Stoke-on-Trent he held incumbencies at Bierley, North Kensington, Ardwick 〔(Church Times )〕 and St Margaret's, Toxteth, Liverpool (where he was Vicar from 1 September 1959 to July 1962).〔St Margaret's Parish Magazine, July 1962〕 In 1962 he was appointed Bishop of Nassau,〔(Anglican church in the Bahamas )〕 resigning a decade later.〔The Times, Saturday, 26 February 1972; p. 4; Issue 58412; col B ''Bishop of Nassau to retire''〕 He was then an Assistant Bishop within the Anglican Diocese of Southwell until his death on 21 June 1984.
